The Review Board is fundamental to the peer-review process. The process involves a double-blind review by a community of professional scholars and academics – that is, each article is anonymously reviewed by two reviewers.
Reviewers may not always receive articles which directly relate to their research area but the ability to communicate ideas to a non-specialized area is one of the criteria for all articles.
Reviewers must judge each article in relation to certain key areas. (see “Peer Review Guidelines“).
Reviewers must judge each article objectively – if a point has a well supported argument with a cogent and coherent logic, it is not permissible for a reviewer to reject the point on personal or subjective grounds.
If the reviewer thinks a conflict of interest has arisen, they should notify the Editorial Board immediately.
Direct contact between a reviewer and author during the peer-review process is strictly forbidden.
