Aigne is a peer-reviewed online journal developed for and by postgraduates of the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences in University College Cork, in collaboration with the Graduate School. Aigne provides a forum for the discussion and dissemination of postgraduate research. It also presents postgraduates from the university with the opportunity to work in the online publishing industry. Aigne is proud to promote its national heritage to the international community by accepting and reviewing articles in both the English and Irish languages.

As a peer-reviewed journal, readers of Aigne may be assured of high quality articles that engage with current research from across the spectrum of the humanities. Successful contributors will also have their published article added to the Cork Open Research Archive (CORA). This online repository aims to increase the citations and visibility of the materials it stores.
